Wayne was an extraordinary person who combined intelligence with a heart for people. His actions mirrored his beliefs. Heaven is a little brighter and earth a little dimmer with his passing. Charlotte shares these same characteristics. Prayers for the entire family. Hoyt

Betty, Charlotte, and family, I am so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I have so many happy memories of the years we worked together in the Tennessee Jr Miss program, filming the Krysal commercials, and then the best of all---founding the tv station in Dayton Tennessee together. Rhea and I enjoyed all the different paths that our lives crossed so much. I'll bet they are up in heaven filming all the beauties of heaven together right now. 💕💕

I went to work at WRCB after Mr. Abercrombie had left, but over the next 34 years, I would hear his name and his memory invoked by employees who had worked with him. Every comment was made with only respect and admiration. May he rest in peace.

No words can tell the affection and admiration Ken and I had for Wayne and Betty. He was such a constant at Red Bank Baptist Church and for a while we were all in the couples class together. He was fun and so creative. As we came into the era of electronics and visual in church, Wayne stood out as leader and teacher to so many willing to serve with him. Betty was never far away from his side. They shared their multi-talented Charlotte so graciously with the church and community over the years. I loved how they encouraged her real estate career and boosted her into the technology in the field before anyone else even thought of it. It was a hard fight he fought over the past few years and now he has won his eternal gift of being whole in the arms if His Lord. God bless everyone in this lovely family and give them His peace that was so important to Wayne.

Dear Family,
My name is Rosa Wayne. I had the opportunity to work with Mr. Wayne through C. R. I. ( Chattanooga Regional Interconnect) in early 90s. We worked several years together in Marion, Sequatchie, and Bledsoe Counties. I always enjoyed writing script and then wait to see the finished commercial Mr. Wayne would produce. He was always so professional and fun and a very pleasant man to work with. I’m sorry for your loss. He spoke highly of his family. I certainly will praying for Gods love and His grace to be extended to your family in days to come.
Blessings,
Rosa
