Wes was a brave, fearless and passionate young man. He was a loyal son, brother and friend. The things Wesley loved most in this world were his family, being outdoors, radio-controlled cars and building things with his own two hands. He was fiercely protective of those he loved and his thirst for knowledge was never-ending. His outlook on life was simple, though... “Take it easy” and “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
Wesley attended Boyd Buchanan, Red Bank High School and received a degree from Chattanooga State Technical Community College. Wesley was a machinist by trade, but had a vast knowledge of many things.
During his seemingly short time on Earth, he experienced a long battle with opioid addiction, which eventually took his life.
Silence would mean Wesley’s death was in vain, but if one person’s life can be saved by his story, we will tell it a million more times.
Wesley is survived by his parents, Steve (father) & Nancy Roach and Amy Bales (mother), brother, Joshua (Julia) Roach, sisters, Brittany (Joshua) Holloway and Madeline Bales, grandparents, Zane & Faye Roach, Tommy & Jeanette Killingsworth and many more family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a drug addiction recovery program in Wesley’s memory.
