

Loved by many, he was also known as Sonny or Bill
He graduated from Red Bank High School in 1953, where he played basketball and football. He was also a frequent participant of the Hixson and Brainerd Optimist drag strips. Bill was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Life, Fraternal order of Eagles 945, Red Bank Masonic Lodge, Tennessee National Guard and a member of First Baptist Church of Soddy-Daisy. He retired with over 40 years of service with South Central Bell/ AT&T. His love for the outdoors made him passionate about water skiing, fishing, hunting, gardening, wood working and travel
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Aimie Paul and Leola ( Cotton) Ewton; his dear uncle and aunt Wesley and Una Gerrard
Bill is survived by his daughters Lea Anne ( ED) Perez and Leslie ( Kevin) Forstmann; he leaves behind four grandchildren Caleb, Joshua and MaKayla Perez and Tayler Forstmann
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 3- 8 pm and on Sunday from 1- 3 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel
Funeral service for Bill will be conducted at 3:30 pm on Sunday , November 16, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Bramble officiating
Interment will be at 9 am on Monday, November 17, 2014 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens
