He was employed with the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) #175. Scott was a member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church.
His brother, Thomas Lindsay Grider and grandfathers, William H. Grider and W.S. Bill Lindsay preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Ann Grider; daughters, Andrea (Van) Bridges of Chattanooga; Ellen Grider of Cookeville; son, Thomas Grider of Chattanooga and stepson, Damon Parker of Chattanooga; parents, Thomas and Linda Grider of Chattanooga; grandson, Robert Lindsay Bridges of Chattanooga; sisters, Carrie Malone and Susan (Ron) Dixon all of Hixson; grandmothers, Mabel C. Lindsay of Red Bank; Cloria Grider of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in the Chapel of Devotion with Rev. Randy Bell officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the North Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Way.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tennessee.
