He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth Ann Shadwick, with whom he shared 55 years of love and partnership. He is also survived by his daughters, Lindsay Shadwick and Lacy Williams (Tony), and his grandchildren, Noah Williams, Joey Williams, Colby Williams, and Andy Williams.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, educator, and community servant. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, integrity, and deep love for his family, especially by his grandchildren, who knew him affectionately as “Grumps.”
A private graveside service will be held for the family with a Celebration of Life to follow in the coming weeks.
