

William “ Bill” Garner Wyatt, Jr., 81, of Signal Mountain went to be with his Lord and Savior early Monday morning, February 16, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born in Sylacauga, AL, and has lived on Signal Mountain for the past 48 years. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and was an ordained deacon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and graduated Auburn University in 1960. He worked for the State of Tennessee for many years, and retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation Highway Marking.
Bill is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Barbara N. Wyatt; children William E. Wyatt (Brenda) of Winder, GA, Deborah W. Gaddis (Jason) of Chattanooga, TN, Charles D. Wyatt (Alicia) of Cleveland, TN; sister Sara W. Jackson (David) of Birmingham, AL and brother James M. Wyatt (Robin) Ozark, AL; grandchildren James A. Moore, April M. Curott, Michael D. Moore, Amanda G. Roach and Kaitlyn Gaddis; three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Zelma Wyatt and sisters, Dr. Katharine Hodgins and Dr. Ann Sharp.
Visitation will be at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2 pm – 6 pm and Monday February 23, 2015 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm with Interment at National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
