Abby was born to Sonny and Celina Rahaman on September 9th, 1963, in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, and was adopted by Clarence and Ivy Massiah. During her teenage years, Abby enjoyed playing the violin and was even recognized as a rising star in the Trinidad news. She graduated from Naparima Girls' High School in Trinidad, and moved to Canada shortly after, where she gave birth to Shawn and Aleah. In the 1990's Abby moved to Texas, and here she met and fell in love with Erik Robertson and married him in 2005. Together they raised four children, Shawn, Aleah, Daleon and Sereyah, as well as a dog named Yoda.
Abigail was a brilliant accountant for many years and had what seemed to be a photographic memory. She enjoyed dancing and singing with loved ones, going for long drives, spending time outdoors, and you could find her at the beach on a sunny day. She really enjoyed walking her dog with her family and listening to Bob Marley, Alan Jackson and Selena. She loved to eat spicy food.
She is survived by her husband, Erik Robertson, her four children, her brothers and sisters (Kenny, Jenny, Roma, Ramona, Joan, Marlene, Leslie, Nicole) and family and friends. She was preceded in death by Clarence and Ivy Massiah (parents), and Sonny and Celina Rahaman (biological parents).
Abby was a friendly, caring and selfless person and a truly devoted mother whose presence here will be greatly missed, and her legacy will always be remembered.
