OBITUARY

Adolph Lopez Jr.

September 27, 1943February 15, 2021

Adolph Lopez Jr. – Houston, TX – Adolph passed away on February 15, 2021, at the young age of 77. He was born in Austin, TX on September 27, 1943. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Sr. and Santos Lopez. Adolph retired from the City of Houston, after 22 years of service after previously working as a small business owner and the auto repair business. He was a self-taught master woodworker. If you went to his home often, you could find him laboring away in his workshop. He loved the art of precisely joining crafted wood pieces together. Often, creating special pieces for family and friends. Adolph loved the outdoors and went fishing as much as possible. Adolph is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Esmeralda. He was a hero to his seven children: Annette Lopez, Susan A. Kimble, Yvonne Campos, Patricia Rousseau, Adolph Lopez III., Santos Lopez, Christine Siner, son-in-law’s, daughter-in-law’s, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Christian Michael Lopez (who he adored). There isn’t enough words or space to tell of who Adolph was and the lives he impacted. He was an unfaltering husband and father. He loved to spend time helping anyone who needed a hand. Join us in paying your respects:

Dad, I came into your life on April 17, 1995. I was 26 years old. You accepted me and Marie with open arms. Then just like that, I could finally say the words my dad. You brought a whole new meaning to the word family. The memories I have are endless. The family camping trips, dinners, and all the holidays we shared. Simple things like just sitting on the couch with you watching t v and talking. I had always dreamed of having my father walk me down the aisle and you made the dream come true. We always made sure we kept in touch . Dad I listen to your voice mail just to hear voice. Love you miss you dad

Dad, you came into my life and you were the best dad any girl could ask for you treated me as your own. I’ll never forget all the time we spent together. You were the best from being our Santa to being our mechanic, our home builder, & anything we needed. You taught us so many things & for that we will always be thankful. You were there for us all. A jack of all traits. You always gave the best advise on everything & anything. I’ll always miss & love you. Rest In paradise daddy!! All my love & adoration

Mi viejo querido 🖤 thank you vato for always being here for me and my daughters. The memories I have of you will never be forgotten. We shared a bond no one will ever replace. I have to thank god for you because he knew I needed a father figure in my life and he knew you were going to do a great job. Thank you for all you taught me. From cooking to fixing something on my car you were there. Your pico de gallo was perfect 👌 I could never get it exactly how you made it taste but thank you for teaching me. Thank you for supporting me as a young mother. I needed that guidance and understanding. Your wisdom will never be understood. I’ll always remember the projects we did together in your shop. I still have them. I’ll always remember being a kid playing on your boat. I’ll never forget taking you out to eat with my very first paycheck because I wanted to spoil you. The times I would go to your house during lunch to drop off food for you when grandma was at work and we would eat together and have our chats. Most of all I won’t forget walking in the house waiting on you say “What’s the good word?” Thank you for making me feel safe and loved. I love you Vato
