?Life Epitome:?? Birth April 23, 1931 in Waskom, Texas. Parents: The late Merkerson Gaines, Sr. & Ethel Mae Gaines Douglas. Adrena was the fourth child of eight children.?Life Departure:?? The Angel of silence came down and sealed the lips of our beloved one, Adrena Carter (Tut). We bow in humble submission to our master's will. Even through though the children and other relatives did everything humanly possible to comfort and relieve the suffering. It was God's will that she should go, realizing that we all must go.Life Commitment:? Confessed Christ at an early age at New Boggy Baptist Church in Bethany, Louisiana. Later, she united with Sunshine Missionary Baptist under the late Reverend W. P. Banks and now Reverend McCollister, where she served faithfully.Marriage:? United in Holy Matrimony to Junius P. Carter, Sr. on February 26, 1955.Children:? Linda Lunnon, Kathy Warren & Junius P. Carter, Jr. Adrena leaves a legacy of Love and will be surely missed. Death is inevitable, so we pause to regroup, for we serve a merciful God who will dry tear-stained eyes. God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1)Adrena was preceded in death by her parents, Merkerson Gaines, Sr. & Ethel Mae Gaines Douglas, brother; Merkerson Gaines, Jr. and a special friend; Sandy Carter. Survivors are three children: Linda Lunnon, Kathy Warren (Dwight), Junius P. Carter, Jr. (Carolyn) of Houston, Texas, two sisters; Reba C. jones and Wilkie Hartwell and three brothers; L.C. Gaines (QeenEster), Grady Gaines (Nell) and Roy Gaines, four grandchildren; Lyntrecia Lunnon-Sam (Alex), Gerred Lunnon (Jennifer), James warren, Jr. and LaQuita Richardson (Timothy), two step-grandchildren; Cedric Cox and Chris Steed, eleven great-grandchildren; Kalia, Dayha, Kameron, Tierane, Caleb, Joshua, Chloe, Ashlyn, Colin, Cedric and Chris.
