Our fathers became friends near the end my father’s life. Your dad was such a great companion to my dad and I wish they had met earlier. Thanks for introducing them. He made our lives more joyful. He was a very sweet soul. I am so sorry for your loss.

We took Dan and Mom to Destin. He really enjoyed the beach breeze and the time together. So did we.

Daddy, 

There are no words big enough to hold everything I feel in my heart. Losing you has left a hole that nothing will ever fill, but I carry you with me in every breath, in every decision, in the way I love, speak, and fight for others because that’s what you taught me.

You weren’t just my father—you were my protector, my role model, my greatest teacher. Everything I’ve ever done, every strength I have, every value I hold close, it all started with you. You showed me how to be strong but gentle, how to lead with heart, how to care for family above all. I am the woman I am today because of the man you were.

I miss you more than I can ever say. I miss your voice, your hugs, your wisdom, your daily calls just to say “I love you.” I still hear them, Daddy, in my soul. I promise to honor your memory by loving as fiercely as you did, by staying united with my siblings, and by keeping Mommy close and safe. That’s what you would’ve wanted.

Thank you for everything. For your sacrifices. For your stories. For the laughs, the lessons, the legacy. I will never stop loving you. I’ll carry you with me always, until we meet again.
