

He was born in Houston, TX on Sept. 16, 1920 to Alfred and Eva Lindow who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Lindow, son Earl Lindow and wife Robin, daughter Diane Taylor and husband Richard, daughter Jane Villars and husband Steve, brother Kenneth Lindow, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Al was a native Houstonian. He met his wife of 66 yrs in the church choir. He attended Massey Business College and served in the Navy during WWII on the USS San Juan as Fire Control Man, 2nd class. He was a 32nd degree Mason for over 50 yrs, served faithfully in the Lion’s Club, served as president of his neighborhood civic club and was the general secretary for Sunday School at Garden Oaks Baptist Church. He owned and operated Houston Restaurant Supply for over 40 yrs with his dad.
Al loved gardening, especially growing orchids. He played softball & coached girls volley ball and baseball. Along with his wife, he was an avid hunter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Garden Oaks Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at Garden Oaks Baptist Church, 3206 N. Shepherd, Houston, TX, 77018, on Jan 13, @ 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow @ 11:00 a.m.
