Alfredo, known as Daniel to those who knew him in his youth, was a family man above all else. He loved sitting outside on his front porch or backyard, engaging in laughter-filled conversations with family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed sharing stories over a couple of beers or cups of coffee. Daniel’s favorite stories centered around his childhood growing up on a small ranch outside of Nava, Coahuila (Mexico), his adventures with his wife, and the numerous memories of raising his children and spoiling his grandchildren. As a master welder, his expertise is evidenced in the craftsmanship of his self-designed custom furniture, art, and his cherished Heights home of 51 years.
Alfredo is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Carmen; son, Daniel “Danny”; great-granddaughter, Kaida; and his parents, Margarito and Dolores “Lolita.” Alfredo is survived by his sisters, Maria de Socorro “Choco” Bonilla and Maria de Jesus “Chita” Pérez. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Terri Pérez and Sylvia San Pedro (Ramon). His grandchildren will miss their “Popo,” as he is survived by Daniell Pérez, Alyssa San Pedro, Enrique San Pedro, and Micah Pérez. Alfredo will be missed by his daughter-in-law, Aida Rosas, and son-in-law, Ramon San Pedro. He is also survived by his great-grandsons: Elijah, Xavier, and Isaac. Additionally, Alfredo leaves behind his brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
A celebration of life for Alfredo Daniel Pérez will be held in Houston from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard. Afterward, join the family for a reception.
