She was born on December 01, 1930, in Paige, Texas and was the second of four children. She was baptized and confirmed at a Lutheran Church in Lee County, TX. She spent her younger years helping care for the family farm while attending school and completing ninth grade. Alice and her sister, Ruby Lee, had a knack for singing which is how she met her husband, Edmund “Pat.” They got married on November 26, 1950, in Loebau, Texas. She moved to Houston, TX a few years later where she was a proud member of St. Mark Lutheran Church for 70 years. In October 1975 Alice and her husband purchased Pat’s Propane, Inc., which she became the sole secretary of the company for many years. The company is still family-owned and in operation today. Alice was a very dedicated housewife and mom throughout her life and loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed cooking and baking and would make the best home cooked meals.
