Alice Marie Tolbert

Alice Marie Hicks Tolbert was born to Mr. Elijah Harris and Dorothy Chapel Hicks in Washington County, Texas December 15, 1950. She spent her childhood growing up in Chappell Hill, Texas, where she attended Petersville Elementary School and graduated from Brenham High School. After graduation, she attended Houston Southwesters Business University and worked for M. D. Anderson Hospital as a Customer Care Representative. She joined the United States Air Force in 1975. There she gave 10 years of service to our country. In the Air Force she met and married her husband. They shared 35 years loving and caring for each other. She continued to work and serve in the United States Government until 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents Elijah Harris and Dorothy Hicks and sister Shirely Whaley. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 35 years Donald; siblings Madelyn Randle, Lee Gillis (Wanda), Lloyd Hicks, and Katherine Sayles all of Houston, Texas, John Rice Newton of Dallas, Texas, and Elijah Harris, Jr. of Brenham, Texas. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
