Alicia Contreras

January 9, 1941 to February 2, 2018

Resident of Jersey Village, Texas

Alicia A. Contreras was born and raised in Baytown Texas, the third of six

children born to Juanito (Johnny) and Ruth (Rodriguez) Santana. She married her

high-school sweetheart Hiram A. Contreras (Art) on October 21, 1956 and was a

supportive wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Hiram, their sons Derek Contreras of

Hollywood Florida, John Contreras of Palo Alto California, and two grandchildren, Erik

Contreras and Sarah Contreras.

She attended the University of Houston Downtown. She worked in sales for

Mitsui & Company USA Inc. She was a member of the Charity Guild of Catholic Women

of Houston and the Catholic Daughters. She was an accomplished seamstress and

artist.

Visitation will take place Friday February 9, 2018 at Forest Park Lawndale

Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street Houston, Texas at 5:00 p.m. A rosary service will

be held at 7:00 p.m.

Mass will take place on February 10, 2018 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1907

Carolina Ave. Baytown, Texas at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Forest Park Lawndale

Cemetery. A reception will take place at St. Joseph’s Community Center after. Please
