Alma Dean "Deanie" Caraway

Alma Dean "Deanie" Caraway, age 88, passed away April 4, 2018. Born in Holland, Texas, she was a loving mother and grandmother, who stayed active, enjoying bike riding and tennis, and was also a good cook. She was a long time member of Garden Oaks Church of Christ, Lindale Church of Christ, and Candlelight Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Lewis Eugene Caraway and brother, Jerald Liles. Survived by children, Amanda Wells and husband Mark, Lewis Eugene Caraway, Jr., and Melissa Survance and husband Kyle; grandchildren, David Wells, Jessica Larson and husband Sean, Christy Warren and husband Joe, James Caraway and wife Jennifer, Lewis Caraway and wife Ashley, Kyle Survance, Jr., Katie Dean Survance, and Kevin Survance; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Gail Fry and husband Wilburn, and Linda Sims and husband Sid; sister-in-law, Cary Liles; and a host of other loving relatives. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
