Alma Lee O'Brien

Alma Lee Walling O’Brien, 88, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2019. She was born to Laura Robberson Walling and Walter Walling on June 27, 1931 in Houston, Texas. Alma Lee graduated from John H. Reagan High School in Houston, Texas in 1949. She was an animal lover and cared for many pets. She was an excellent seamstress and loved gardening. Alma Lee married Harris Monroe O’Brien April 21, 1953 and together they shared 66 years of marriage. They both enjoyed square dancing and working at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for many years. Alma Lee will be deeply missed by her husband and family.

Alma Lee is survived by her husband, Harris Monroe O’Brien; daughters, Patricia O’Brien, Millicent and husband Gary Garrison; sons, Les and wife Sandra O’Brien; grandchildren, Meghann and husband Adam Howe, Summer Palmetree, Paige O’Brien, Riley O’Brien and great grandson, Everett Brien Howe.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made in her name to: The American Cancer Society or a Local Animal Shelter.
