

Alton T. Bonnette was born on November 29, 1937 in Campti; Louisiana to the late Ellis & Maggie Bonnette. Alton accepted Christ as his Lord Savior on October 18, 1940 at Native Church in Campti, Lousiana. Alton joined the Air Force December 7, 1954 and served his country well with a Tour of Duty that included being stationed in Greenland. He received an honorable discharge on October 6, 1958. Alton then went on with his life to pursue happiness by marrying former wife Jeanette Bonnette. To this union, four children were born: Cathy, Ronald, Lisa and Chris. Alton attended Radio and Technology School for 2 years. He continued his education by attending Automobile Mechanics School in Houston. Alton went on to have a long and lucrative career as an Automobile Mechanic. Some say he was the best in the business and as he would say "I'm One Hell of a Man! " On April 6, 2014 at 11:19 a.m. Alton T. Bonnette, departed from us at the age of 76, with his family by his side. He leaves nothing but great memories and smiles to all he has touched. He is preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Maggie Bonnette. Alton is survived of his children; Cathy Bonnette- Jefferson (Eric) of Mobile, AL; Ronald Bonnette Sr. (Gwendolyn) of Houston, TX; Lisa M Wilhite (Oscar) of Missouri City, TX; and Christopher G. Bonnette (Theresa) of Galveston, TX. Grandchildren Mi'Chelle, Jarvis, Akera, Ronald Jr., Christian, Akeysha, Ebony, Evervett, Merriah, Oscar IV and Christopher II. Siblings Ellis V. Bonnette Jr. of California, David Bonnette of California, Madeline Martin of Mississippi, Mary Metoyer of Louisiana and Cecilia Victorian of Louisiana as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Alton will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. For God said "Servant, well done, you have fought a good fight, you have kept the faith, now come home and rest with me as those you leave behind will weep for a night or two, but JOY will come in the morning.
