

Alton Louis Brown was born December 12, 1958 in Shiner, Texas to Clarence and Delores Brown. He died August 3, 2017 at the age of 58. Alton attended Sunnyside and Bastian Elementary, Attucks Jr. High and Jones High School, where sports had always been a part of his life. Alton was an accomplished athlete in football and track having been named as an All American in track his senior year. He attended college on a track scholarship. Alton received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement from Northeast Louisiana University. He began his career in law enforcement at Pennzoil Place in Downtown Houston. After working there for many years, Alton then began working at Methodist Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. Finally, after spending many years working in law enforcement and security, Alton had begun pursuing a full time career in financial planning and insurance. Alton was a true outdoorsman. As an avid hunter and fisherman, his love for nature and the outdoors was obvious to everyone that knew him. Alton’s greatest joy was his family. Coming from a family rooted in love, it’s no wonder that his warmhearted and cordial demeanor made him a favorite of many. And spending time with his daughter and grandchildren was his greatest source of happiness. Alton leaves to cherish his memories: parents, Clarence and Delores Brown; daughter Misty (Rahad); sisters Sharon Brown and La Shanda Chevis; grandchildren Zariah, Zion, Ziara and Zaya Johnson and a host of relatives and good friends.
