

Amalia Serda Escobar, 87 earned her wings on July 29, 2018. She was born in Houston, Texas on August 16, 1930 to Pedro Serda and Maria Perez. She was employed at Birt, Inc. where she worked her way up as a supervisor until her retirement.
Amalia was a strong woman of faith and a long-time member of The Catholic Charismatic Center; where she served in the core group as an usher and on the prayer team. If you didn’t have the opportunity to meet this fine woman you missed out on an amazing woman of faith with a great sense of humor and a tender heart. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body. She touched so many hearts and brought joy and happiness to those around her. She loved being surrounded by family, she loved to laugh and joke around. She raised in love several nieces and nephews as her own. She was there to dry a tear and encourage us to be our best.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers. She is survived by her cousin and best friend Elida Flores. Her Goddaughter and niece Brenda Pritchard & her husband John, their children Shannon & Beau Pritchard. Dominic, Julius, Rudy, Nicole, Michael Flores, and their families. Her Godson Ray Rodriguez and is wife Laura. Her Comadre Gloria Rico and her husband Samuel, along with their children. As well as many other family members and friends.
She will be dearly missed by those who loved her unconditionally.
