

Andrew William “Andy” Watt was born in Aurora, Illinois on Saturday, February 7, 1925 to parents Henry William Watt and Jane Robertson (Whyte) Watt. He passed away in the early hours on Thursday, October 29, 2014.
Andy was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. For nearly 50 years, he owned and operated Watt Vending with a service area covering Houston, southern Louisiana and east Texas.
Andy is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Bettie of Houston, TX; his sister, Margaret Futymoski and husband Don of Aurora, IL; son, Robert “Bob” LaCoste and wife Susan of Houston, TX, James LaCoste and wife Tonya, also of Houston; four grandchildren: Renee Long and husband Mike, Heather Robinson, Brett LaCoste and wife Vickie, and Brooke Valdez; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, and his many, many friends in southern Louisiana. Andy often said, ”I may have been born in Illinois, but I’m a Cajun at heart.”
Family and friends gathered in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, on Saturday, November 1, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until service time, when Reverend M. Eugene Vickery began a service celebrating Andy’s life at 1:30 p.m.
Graveside services and interment followed at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine, also in Houston.
