I moved into the Heights for 8th grade and lived on Peddie St.  I met a friend named Joe Janczak. He was awesome, we rode bikes all day every day and hung out. I moved back with my dad and we lost touch. I was just reminiscing about those days and googled him. I came upon this and am still hoping it’s not him. The pictures look like him though. I’m really bummed out. So sorry for the families loss and condolences. I’ll still hold on to hope that it’s not him, he was a great friend when I needed one.

I will always remember the times that Adam and I spent riding BMX with Joe. Great times. My heartfelt condolences to all. The pictures brought back some wonderful memories.

  “Joe” was my first love and a best friend as a teenager.. I used to take him to My Nana’s house, and me/him/Dawne/Arley were inseparable for the longest!  Our memories go on and on; we had so much fun!  I loved him to pieces!!!!  I just realized this week that his sweet Mother was my son’s Sunday school teacher when he was in 1st-2nd grade!  What a small world!!!  My heart aches for his mother and sister, he was so full of joy and love - I can’t imagine how they must feel without him...

Joe is my cousin.  I have so many fun memories of us. We got a little crazy sometimes and we ALWAYS had a great time! One Christmas Eve Joe and I were over at my other cousins apartment partying and we decided we should go caroling.  I mean everyone loves it when 3 drunk kids show up at your door at 3 in the morning singing! Charlie and I sang and Joe had a big pot that he was banging on with a big wooden spoon! We did crazy stuff like that all the time! Im surprised we managed to stay out of jail! We weren't out to hurt anyone ever but we were out for a damn good time ALWAYS!!! I truly don't know how to move past this loss. There are no words or actions that will help.  This is devastating.  Absolutely devastating!

I am so sorry to learn of Joe's passing.  There are so many happy memories of times the families spent together over the years.

     I was so saddened to hear of Joe's passing.  He was a dear friend and my first love.  Over the years, I have always wondered how he was doing.  From the pictures on here, it looks like he was very happy.  I can only hope that your years of happiness and your many good memories will enable the family to live with this sad loss.  One of my fondest memories is of him always smiling and always on his bike!  My heart goes out to his family and friends.  Me and mine wish you all the best and comfort for healing. Joe and I were friends from an early age. We hung out almost every weekend for years. We watched him win many BMX races at Armadillo down. He was one of my closes friends in the 80s. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I have many fond memories of hanging out at his house.
