I did not know Mr. Hernandez, but I have worked with his son Tony for almost 14 years. Tony is a solid family man and straight as an arrow. A very fine reflection of his dad.

I have very fond memories of working with Rebecca at Shell. She was so much fun and a delight to work with! She was also a very hard-working person!! I know how much she loved her husband and how they would always put family first! My most deepest condolences to her and her family! I pray that the Lord gives them strength during this most difficult time.

There’s no messing with Mr. Hernandez’s boys..! While at his house for one of the grandkids birthday BBQ, I talked Rene into joining up with me to hogtie Tony. I’ve heard the stories of big brother bullying and decided to help Rene at getting back! We were in agreeance and we waited for the opportune moment to pounce like predators! Our combine strength and mass had definitely overpowered Tony’s fragile existence.

“Go”, I yelled! Rene and I grabbed Tony by surprise. He was taken to the ground without any resistance. Rene held the upper torso as I began to hogtie Tony’s feet. Just as I was about to move from the feet to the hands, “BAM”. It was like seeing one of those pop-up bubbles from the old Adam West-Batman shows! All I knew was that a force threw me several feet pass the brothers! “What the.....”, was all I was thinking.

As I turn to look at what monster of a force was able to toss a 250 lb man several feet, I realized that it was Mr. Hernandez. As he stood hovering over me, all he said was”No body messing with my boys, Joe”! This was just after he had heart surgery too. After that day, Tony threatened to tattle tell if I were to mess with him. Even after his passing, I’d bet Mr. Hernandez would come at me one way or another if I’d enact my revenge, lol. This has always put a smile on my face and is the memory I’d like to share with all! Prayers & love from Joe & family.””
