

On January 24, 2018 the Angels celebrated the arrival of Ardella V. Parms with her face towards the heavens and a radiant glow, she peacefully placed her hand in the Master’s and quietly he ushered her to her new home. She was born July 9, 1931 in LaGrange, Texas to Charlie & Clara Dobbins. She was the oldest of four other siblings. July 1, 1947 Ardella gave birth to her only son Nathaniel James Roquemore who preceded her in death January 27th 2013. Ardella was educated in the Houston Independent School District and attended Booker T. Washington High School. She went on to receive her Vocational Nursing License from Bellaire General Hospital School of Vocational Nursing in September, 1969. Ardella was employed by Bellaire General Hospital where she retired after working there for 20 years. After retiring Ardella enjoyed her passion of thrift store shopping. She was not happy unless she was out finding her treasures. Ardella was preceded in death by her father Charlie Dobbins, sister, Ivory Jewel Hicks, brother, Harvey Dobbins Sr., sister, Dorothy Jean Dobbins, Mother, Clara Dobbins, sister, Dahlia Mae Prophet, and son, Nathaniel Roquemore. She leaves to celebrate her entering into the presence of the Lord; her beautiful granddaughter, Brandee Roquemore of Atlanta Georgia, sister-in-law Robbie Dobbins, nieces, Demonica (Andrew) Johnson, Rita (Jerry) Thomas, Lacester Hicks, Nephew, Russell (Kim) Hicks. Other unmentioned survivors include great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Ardella’s warm and caring heart and beautiful spirit has touched so many lives.
