Jay was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Billie Louise McGinty; his father, Alton Brooks McGinty; his mother, Lillie Mae McGinty; his father-in law Charlie Jaynes; and his mother-in law Emily Jaynes.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Lucina "Lucy" McGinty; daughter, Susan McGinty Manning and her husband Richard Manning; his daughter, Martha McGinty Beasley and her husband Richard Beasley; his son, Michael McGinty and his wife Cathleen McGinty; his step daughter Jennifer Aleman; his brother, Billy McGinty. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Jay was a well known and loved man of God.
