

Audis was born on July 1, 1947 in Houston, Texas to the late Theodore "Boo" and Annie L. Harris. He was the second of three children. He attended schools in both the Los Angeles Unified School District and HISD ultimately graduating from Booker T. Washington in 1966. He attended Bishop College on a full athletic scholarship where he attained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Education in 1970. While attending Bishop College he met the love of his life Wilma Wolfe and they united in marriage on August 23, 1969. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1971 and served until 1974 when he was honorably discharged. During his service, he was a physical therapist and played basketball for the Southern Command All-Stars. Upon his return to civilian life, he pursued a career in the oil industry as a first class machinist. He worked for ARCO/Lyondell-Citgo Refinery and retired after 25 years of employment. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, watching sports and whipping everyone playing Bid Whist and Dominoes. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, brother, aunt, nieces, nephew, and a host of cousins, family and friends.
