Augustine "Chuco" Valle

Augustine Valle, 73 of South Houston, TX, passed into rest on July 8, 2022. He was born Agustin Rubio Valle in Houston on August 8, 1948 and he was loving known as “Chuco” by family and friends in his Magnolia neighborhood.

He is survived by wife, Pamela, children Mark (Toni), Brian (Yesenia), and stepson Cristen Simpson (Catlin), whom he introduced as his white son, mother-in-law Ressie Bennett, brother Salvador Valle (Linda), sisters Josephine Rodriquez, Margaret Valle, Pauline Valdez, sisters-in-law Johnnie Gaskill (Michael), Angela Smith (Guary), brother-in-law Ricky Bennett, five grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and bonus family members. He is preceded in death by his father Salvador, mother Guadalupe and brothers Frank Barajas and Robert Valle.

After attending Milby High School, Augustine enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving on multiple vessels during the Viet Nam war. Upon discharge, he had a long and faceted career as a master plumber; he was multi-talented and could build or fix anything he set his mind to. He generously used his many talents to help family, friends and others.

Augustine was baptized into the Catholic church as an infant and later attended Elim Church where he gave his heart to God as an adult. He showed his faith strongly in the ability to trust that God had a plan for him in his later years.

He loved hunting and fishing and introduced his grandchildren to the love of outdoors. His greatest pleasure was passing knowledge to the younger generation, be it work or leisure pastimes. Generous to a fault, he would give anything he had to those who might have a need. His sense of humor was infectious and no one was safe when he turned it on.

Augustine was the bravest, strongest, most loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be forever loved and missed.

A visitation for Chuco will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
