Barbara was born to Aaron and Thelma Gage, March, 20th 1939 in Tennessee. She graduated from Stephen F Austin high school in 1957. She married John Paul Hammack in 1957 and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 3 children.
Barbara is survived by son Daniel Paul Hammack, grandsons, Jessie Joseph Hammack and Michael Jones, granddaughters Melissa Jo Hammack, Melinda Ann Hammack, Jenniffer Hammack, Tiffany Capucino, Trina Suarez and Rory Hammack. She also leaves to cherish her memory numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by John Paul Hammack, husband, Vicki Denise Hammack, daughter, Robert Wayne Hammack, son Christopher Paul Hammack, grandson, Martha Tillotta, sister, David Gage, brother and parents Aaron and Thelma Gage.
She worked as a keypunch operator for various petrochemical companies for many years.
She enjoyed puzzles and reading, but nothing meant more to her than her kids and grandkids.
Barbara was deeply devoted and selfless and cared for generations in her home.
A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday April 25th at 10 am at Forest Park Lawndale. Burial will follow.
