She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Templeton, her parents Harry and Lois Simonton, and brother Harry Simonton.
She is survived by her son Richard Templeton, his wife Stacey and their three grandsons Grant Templeton, Chase Templeton, and Blake Templeton.
Barbara was born and grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Charles H. Milby High School in 1964. After graduating high school, she proudly attended the University of Texas. After the loss of her father at the young age of five, she had to grow up fast including working various jobs at a very young age. No other job was more influential than joining the Texas Department of Transportation (Highway Department) where she met her loving husband, Ronnie. Barbara and Ronnie were married for 54 years and had one son, Richard.
Barbara lived life to the fullest, enjoying cooking, baking, decorating cakes, hunting with Ronnie, cheering for the University of Texas, watching her son and grandsons play baseball, and caring for their beloved dogs and cats.
