

Barbara J. Wilson was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 4, 1927 to parents Clifford S. Stephens and Viola (Vick) Stephens. She passed away in Pasadena, Texas and joined her Lord in Heaven on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the age of 87.
Barbara married Marvin A. “Tad” Wilson, Jr., who became her husband of 59 years. He preceded her in death in January of 2008. Tad's career in the Natural Gas industry took them to several states. After moving to Houston in 1969, Barbara and Tad became active and longtime members of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Pamela and husband Collin House of La Porte Texas; her son, Kevin Wilson of Houston, Texas; a brother, Stephen Stephens of Arizona; her granddaughters, Monica Brotherton and Tricia Wendell, as well as her great grandchildren.
Family and friends gathered for a visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014, at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services were held in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014, with The Reverend Chad Martin of St. Martin's Episcopal Church officiating. Committal services and interment followed at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, also in Houston.
