

Belen Villarreal was born on September 15, 1936 in Houston, Texas. She passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024 at the age of 88. A lifelong resident of Houston, she was known for her vibrant personality, fun-loving spirit and an exceptional sense of humor. Belen was deeply committed to her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and all her extended family. Always participating in family gatherings and celebrations. Her laughter was contagious. She held a strong passion for her faith. Belen had a successful career as a bookkeeper at a bank. Outside of work she enjoyed shopping and frequent visits to the salons.
She was preceded in death by Benjamin Villarreal, her husband of 68-years and her best friend, parents; Cayetano Gonzalez and Maria G. Gonzalez, brothers; Joseph, Filemon, Hermann and Israel, sisters; Hope and Aurora. She was broken hearted and grieving about the loss of a loving grandson, Josiah and her loving husband’s recent passing. She now joins them with our heavenly Father.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters, Belen Garza (children; Belen III and Cassidy Garza), Beth Villarreal (children; Johnny Escobedo, Cameron Sparkman), and Beverly Tamayo (children; Michael Tamayo, Lauren Villarreal). Belen was cherished by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her dear youngest brother, Eddie and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
