Benjamin Roy Hines Jr.

Benjamin Roy Hines, Jr. was born on December 3, 1996 to Benjamin Hines, Sr. and Andrea Dorsey. Benjamin was granted his angel wings on October 8, 2013. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Benjamin had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life. Benjamin's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile brought so much joy to his family & friends. Although he was so young and frail, he gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Benjamin is survived by his biological parents, Benjamin Hines, Sr. and Andrea Dorsey; his loving foster parents, Daryl Humphrey and Melissa Chavez and Deborah Howard; his surrogate grandmother, Ms. Humphrey; his sister, Jennifer Gamble; brothers, Dorian Gamble, Juqua Gamble, Christopher Tyrone and Kevin Tyrone; and paternal grandparent James Hines. Benjamin was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Hines. He will be greatly missed by his DFPS and Arrow family and by his caring confidant, Keith Lasco.
