Bennie Simons

Bennie R. Simons, born Dec. 8 1934 in DeSoto TX, passed away peacefully on Dec. 16, 2017 in Deer Park TX. He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. His example of what it means to care for those he loved will be sorely missed in this world and our lives are better for having known him. He strived to make those around him smile, even at the end. Our lives are darkened by his loss, but the memory of his smiling face help brighten the dark days.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Lona Simons, wife Thelma Simons, wife Barbara Simons, sons Johnny Gilcrease, Clifton Simons & Terry Simons, granddaughter Melissa Simons and grandson Jonathon Simons, as well as brothers George, William, Roland, Ernest, Thomas, Robert, Donald, James & Alton, and sister Eula.

He is survived by his son Larry Simons and wife Carol, his daughter in law Maria Simons, grandchildren Richard Simons and wife April, Christopher Simons and wife Lindsey, Amanda Simons, Jack Simons, & Nicki Simons as well as great grandchildren Makaela Noel, Orion Simons, Quinton Simons, Nathan Noel, Jayden Noel, Alisah Noel, & Rylen Simons.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:30am at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston, TX with Burial to follow at 12pm at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena, TX.
