Bennie Joe Swartz, 85, of Elkhart Texas went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2022. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Bennie was born in Houston Texas on July 14th, 1937 the only child of the late Stella Hazel Cansler. Bennie graduated from high school in Houston Texas. Bennie was a long-time employee of Sears Surplus. She was a vital member of Women of the Moose, and enjoyed the Red Hats Club. Bennie was a member of First Methodist Church of Elkhart, Texas.
Bennie is survived by her loving husband Ben Swartz of 67 years, three children, Carl (Buddy) Swartz of Rosharon, Texas, (Angie), Terry Langford of Whites Creek, Tennessee, and William (Willy) Swartz of Manvel, Texas, (Laura). Five grandchildren, Carrie Schooley, Brian Swartz, Joshua Langford, Sarah Langford and Daniel Swartz. Nine great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her great grandson, Trey Schooley.
Bennie will be greatly missed; she was very passionate and caring to all that knew her. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
