Willie Bernice King Hartley, 97, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 in San Marcos, Texas. She was born October 21, 1919 in Huntington, Texas to Charles King and Eula Scroggins. Bernice is survived by her son, John Lee Massingill, Jr. and his wife, Janice; grandchildren, Anthony Schiro, Chris Schiro, John Lee Massingill, III and Joseph Lee Massingill; 7 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister, Betty Husband and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 9-10 AM with a 10 AM Graveside Service at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Cemetery.
