Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, has left this life behind, just shy of her 97th birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, one brother and her husband Robert.
A native of Lyford, Texas, Bernice spent most of her adult life in Houston, where she raised two children and devoted her life to following her Christian principals. She is survived by her 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, the 26th of March at Waltrip Funeral Directors in Houston, where, at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the 27th of March, a service celebrating Bernice's life will be held in the funeral home chapel.
