Bertha Ramos Garcia

Bertha Ramos Garcia, 88, of Houston, Texas passed from this Earth Wednesday, July 15, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents Leonor DeLeon Ramos and Mateo Ramos, her sister Julia Ramos Martinez, her daughter Christina Sauceda, and her husband of over thirty years, Tony Garcia.

Bertha was born September 26, 1931 and was a tenacious woman with a strong will and the grit to carry her through life. She will be remembered by her many children and grandchildren as the indelible woman she was. Left to honor her memory are her children— Genevieve Vasquez Mounger, Velinda Vasquez Zarate (Husband Matt Baker), James Vasquez, Jr. (Wife Queta), Patricia Sauceda Waldo (Husband Tommy), Roland Sauceda (Wife Piedad), and John Sauceda, her grand children— Gabrielle Sauceda Zarate, Mickalle Zarate Hoevelman (Husband Jared), Wendy Teuchtler, Austin Vasquez, and Great-Grandchild Lio Hoevelman.

Due to the ongoing restrictions concerning the Covid-19 pandemic, Bertha will be laid to rest with a private graveside service at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Drive, Houston, Texas. The funeral home is not accessible from Wayside because the Lawndale bridge is closed for construction, please find an alternative route to enter the cemetery.
