Bessie Mae Henderson

Bessie Mae Henderson, born January 1, 1919, the daughter of the late Murth and Alice Harper in Mount Enterprise, Rusk County Texas. She was preceded in death by her brothers Herbert Harper, Eugene Harper and Bonner Davis. She attended and finished her education at Mount Grove High School. At an early age she confessed Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk County. She was still active until her health began to fail. She continued her adult relationship with Christ at Mount Sinai Baptist Church and Pilgrim Baptist Church both in Houston, Texas. Bessie married the love of her life S. T. Beavers and moved to Houston. Of that union, two children, Novella Gray (Virgil) and Webster Beavers (Barbara) were born. Later she met and married Charlie Henderson in 1962. No children were born to this union. Bessie leaves to cherish her loving memory: four grandchildren Jeffery Chandler, June Cormier (Dallas) Houston, Texas, Joel Chandler (Sherell) Little Rock, Arkansas and Darnetta Campbell (Samuel) Houston, Texas; eight great grandchildren Shirell, Santrice, Kameshia, Erica, Terica, Mann, Blake and Jeremiah; twelve great great grandchildren Brianna, Audrianna, Anthoni, Antonio, Jaxson, Nikayla, Chandler, Bailey, Olivia, Deondray, Aurthur and Joel; one special nephew Harold Harper (Kathy), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
