Lucille was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8790, Ladies Auxilliary, in the Spring Branch area of Houston for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Alcorn and Johnny Tyler; an infant daughter, Dorothy Jean Alcorn; her parents, Rachael (Wells) and Jeff Spriggs; four brothers and three sisters. Lucille is survived by her son, William Alcorn, Jr. and wife Jerrie; daughter, Marilyn Bolin and husband Leldon; stepchildren, Judy Oliver and husband James, Faye Robinson and husband Larry, Johnny Odell Tyler and wife Carol; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather at a visitation on Thursday, May 31st from 6 to 8pm at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services will be led by Reverend Ray Maddox in the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 1st at 1:30pm. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery on Long Point Road in Houston.
