Mrs. Bettie Jane Harms

Betty Jane Harms past away Friday, December 13, 2013. She was born in Houston, Texas to Jesse M. and Marie I. Robertson on August 21, 1924. She studied at University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She was a school teacher of kindergarten through second grade levels over a 30 year career with and retired from Houston Independent School District. She loved, what she praised as, her precious Jesus. She so dearly loved and was strongly devoted to her husband, children, family, Church member family and friends, in Christ. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann and her husband Richard, her son Ron, her brother James M. Robertson and his wife Ima Gene, her sister Rosemary Self and her husband Don. She is predeceased by husband, William R., son Rick Alan, parents Jesse M. and Marie I. Robertson, and her sister Merle Edwards. The family will be receiving friends and neighbors at Park Place Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, with visitation held in the main chapel from 9am-10am and funeral service following at 10am. Pastor Greg Williams of Park Place Baptist Church, Houston, Texas, will be leading the service. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale. The pall bearers are Mike Self, David Harms, Danny Harms, Frank Aubert, Shawn Brown & Stephen Hardwick.

Galatians 2:20- I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
