Mrs. Betty Jo (Guidry) Evans

Betty attended the local schools in Georgia. Later, her family moved to Opelousas, Louisiana with her grandparents, Lester and Lucille Lewis.

Years later, Betty met and married Alonzo Evans in 1965. To this union five children were born.

Betty worked as a waitress for the popular restaurant “This Is It” for many years. Betty loved life and lived life to the fullest.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lester and Lucille, her dad Roy Guidry, Mother Vivian Lewis and stepfather Sidney Odis Lewis Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, Her children, Michelle Evans, Anthony Evans, Lonnie Evans, Rassoull Evans and Alicia Evans. Grandchildren, Chelsa Evans, Mark Evans, Gregory Flowers, Alonzo Flowers, Valicia Flowers, Ladarius Flowers, Deitrick Evans, Khadijah Evans, Anthony Evans, Jr., Christian Evans, Marissa Evans, Makayla Evans, Morgan Evans, Jaelyn Evans, nine Great-Grand-children, siblings, Joyce Guidry, David Guidry, Roy Guidry, Pamela Girdy, Cathy Menifee, George Lewis, Joseph Lewis, Odis Lewis, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
