Betty Lou Franks, 86, of Spring, Texas entered into rest on October 14, 2023. She was born in Tyler, Texas on April 22, 1937. She graduated from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City. She was married to Lyndal Ray Keeney for 25 years, until he passed away. Later she met and married Gary Franks, until he also passed away.
She worked as a private investigator for the Harris County Sheriff Department for 4 years, and then worked for the Drug Enforcement Agency for 6 years.
Betty had a passion for dancing, painting, reading mystery and love stories, going to I Hop with her family on Saturday mornings as well as enjoyed Sunday dinners, but above all, her true passion was her family.
She is preceded in death by her son, Glenn Darnell Keeney.
Betty is survived by her sons, Larry Ray Keeney, Michael Lynn Keeney and wife Jodi; daughter, Brenda LaNell Keeney Johnson; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, LaNell Cole; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060 on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 9:00am to 10:00am with a funeral service at 10:00am and a committal service to follow at 11:00am.
