Betty Jean Laird, age 78, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017. Born in Texarkana, Arkansas, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was an LVN for many years and had served her country honorably with the United States Army. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John D. Laird, Sr.; grandson, Christopher Laird; several siblings including her twin brother, Billy Jean Allen. Survived by daughter, Ernestine Guajardo and husband David; grandchildren, David Guajardo, Jonathan Guajardo, Crystal Arriaga and husband Jason; great granddaughter, Elaina Aguirre; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
