As I reflect on Mother's Day I was thinking back when I was in elementary school. There were no fond memories there is an understatement! I had teachers not only didn't like me but made me feel dumb and stupid! I would come home crying to mother explaining I just didn't get the Math had a hard time reading. She would tell " we are going to proof you are very smart"! Within ten minutes she showed me a method to learning math! I would do well in reading if I was interested in the book. I took a test on a book I was interested in and aced the test! When grading my paper she ask me in front of the whole class who did I cheat from? I still remember until this day so embarrassed I wanted to crawl under the desk. The teacher called up the kids around me to see what their grade was and I surpassed their grade. She asked me, how did you do so well on the test? I said, because it interested me! 😊. Later in a teacher conference with my mother she told this bitch of a teacher, if you ever call my daughter out again in front of the class you will regret it! Yea! There were other things this teacher did that totally humiliated me, but I go into that. Much later in years I realized I was a creative person, only things that interested me were things that I was interested in. I learned from the best and became a florist, wedding decorator, home decorator, and Christmas decorator! But the bottom line if it wasn't for my mother telling me I wasn't dumb and stupid I could be whatever I wanted to be! Happy Mother's Day mom, you're the best!
