

Betty Pasche Ridley was born November 18, 1927 in Houston, Texas to Archie and Loretta Britain Pasche. She was a fourth generation Houstonian, growing up in Houston's Woodland Heights. She spent her teen years traveling the south as her father's job dictated and graduated from Baton Rouge High School before attending and graduating in 1948 from Alabama College at Montevallo, Alabama. Betty worked at Hughes Tool Company, HISD at Hartman Junior High, and General Electric. She married her husband Don Ridley on April 26, 1952 with whom she raised two children. She is survived by her son Ron Ridley and wife Bette, and daughter Donna Sebastian and husband Jim; six grandchildren: Brittany and Alex Ridley, Brett and Kellie Sebastian, and Chris and Katie Nelson; sister-in-law Betty Ridley and nephews Rick, Mark and David Ridley and their wives and children. She was predeceased in death by her husband Don A. Ridley and infant son Ronald, as well as her parents. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of First Christian Church (Houston) for over 60 years, serving as an elder and active in the Disciples Women's Ministry. Betty died at age 84 on August 24, 2012. The family would like to thank the staff at Emeritus Clear Lake, Memorial Hermann Hospice and Visiting Angels for their help in Betty's final days. Visitation for Betty will be held on Sunday August 26 at Forest Park Lawndale from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and she will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Monday. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church on Sunday, September 2 at 1:00 PM.
