Betty Jo Schmidt, age 57, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013. She was born in Houston, Texas graduating from Jefferson Davis High School. She was a long time member and choir member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, volunteering regularly at their Gathering House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Schmidt. Survived by sons, Stephen Schmidt and Garry Schmidt. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Monday, April 29, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 501 Tidwell, Houston, Texas. Rite of Committal will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church The Gathering Place Fund.
