She is preceded in death by her parents; Alvin and Blanche Simmons, brothers; Alvin Jr. and Walter Simmons, and Great Grandchildren Cheyenne and Kyle.
She is survived by her husband; John Staruska, sister; Peggy Wright, daughters; Robbi Pierce and Jayni McCaleb, son; Alvin Thompson and wife Debbie, son; Johnny Welch and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Corral of Conroe, Texas for their quick response, assistance, prayers and compassion they showed Betty.
A graveside service for Betty will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
