Beverly Ann Weeks

Beverly was born in Enterprise, AL, on January 5, 1934 to Howard and Macey Brooks. She graduated Valedictorian from Coffee County High School in 1951. Beverly attended the University of Alabama where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Art and Design.

After graduating, Beverly moved to Houston in 1955 to pursue art and design. During her career, she designed and created the window displays for Sakowitz & Co. and worked for Dr. Michael DeBakey creating slides for his medical presentations. Beverly was an avid rose gardener and seamstress.

Beverly married Matthew Weeks Jr. on July 13, 1962 and they moved to West University Place where they resided for over 50 years. Their son, E. Matthew Weeks, III (Trey) was born to them on December 19, 1966.

Beverly is survived by her son, Matt and wife Carrie Weeks, of New Caney, TX and grandsons, Daniel Harrison and Joshua Preston Weeks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Weeks Jr. and parents, Howard and Macey Brooks.

Beverly was a woman of faith and knew her creator and savior. Her final wish would be that all who knew and loved her would have the same eternal assurance that she had, knowing that they too, are a redeemed child of God and will be forever in His presence.

A visitation for Beverly will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
