I met Billie only once or twice--we were a vendor for Weingarten. While the big-wigs talked shop, Billie and I would sit in the background and just chat. I remember her being full of life, ready to jump into a conversation at a moment's notice and was always in the moment.  Now, some 30+ years later, she was on my mind today. I'm not surprised she left her mark on so many.

Billie truly was a kind and giving person. She will surely be missed by all. I enjoyed working with her at Weingarten at last she is at peace.

I worked with Billie at Weingarten and found her a very caring person. She will truly be missed. She is now with the Lord.

I met Billie while at Weingarten and then we would see each other occasionally at First Baptist.  She was a wonderful lady with such a quiet, gentle spirit. I know she will be missed, but take comfort in knowing that she is now with God.  May the family know God's presence and peace during this time.

I am Billie Jean's cousin, Pam (Vassar) Malek.  I was deeply saddened to hear yesterday about her passing.  It's sad that families drift apart for different reasons, because I have not seen Billie in more than 30 years.  I spent alot of time when I was a little girl in her home.  Her mother, Aunt Lydi used to take care of me.  I remember going with Aunt Lydi to pick the girls up from school (Fonville Jr. High).  I have alot of fond memories of my cousins and my aunt and uncle that still come to mind.  What I remember most about Billie Jean is how she played the piano and sang church songs with her sisters.  To my cousins and their families, I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that this gentle and precious spirit is in our Lord's presence.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  Peace.

I remember my aunt as a fun , and loving person that touched all that she knew , Growing up with her in my life , my sister Lisa and I shared some memories of our aunt that will keep her in our hearts . I know she also loved God and shared that love with those that had the pleasure of being part of her life.

I will remember Billie and her caring ways.  She will be missed but is now home with the Lord.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Billie was a wonderful person that was a pleasure to work with while at Weingarten.

What a sweet lady, I really enjoyed working with her and the times we had lunch and talked about teaching the  children about the Lord in our individual church.

I worked with Billie at Weingarten.  I remember most her smile and quiet, calm demeanor.  We missed her when she left and have thought of her frequently.  She is home now and at rest.    God be with her family.

Billie was such a sweet lady. She trained me and was a very kind soul.I have thought of her often and will have good memories of her always.

I've been thinking all weekend about all of you.  You can't go wrong when a family is soooo united and love each other and the Lord so much.  Our Billie is now rejoicing with the Lord and looking down saying I'm so thankful for all of you!

As I remember Billie I could cry for selfish reasons but I can also find joy in knowing I knew her so well. 
She was such a lady and so wonderful to so many of our kids! Billie had a way of making everyone around her feel special.  Billie always spoke of her family with affection and kindness. She loved her family  deeply and unconditionally. 

She always had a sparkle in her eyes when she'd smile and always greeted you with a warm welcome into her home.
  
Billie's favorite colors were hues of blues and yellows and her sweet home expressed all of them.

Every one of the pets she ever owned had special names, take Lovey, her old German Shepherd (and the name was not just pronounced like it looks... it was loveeee)...there was Miss Mildred, one of her cats...Dottie, her begal that always got out! I think we chased a begal once for almost an hour, thinking it was Billie's when in fact it belonged to one of her neighbors. 

Billie loved flowers, consequently there were always fresh flowers in her home and beautiful fresh lemons sitting in a bowl on her kitchen counter or dining table.

Billie loved Italian and Mexican Food (there may have been a bit of Mexican in her cause she liked me too) Doyles and Mexicatesen were two of her favorites. Doyles is where Billie introduced Chocolate Mousse Cake w/a fresh strawberry to Frank and that was the beginning of Frank's obsession with chocolate Mouse Cake and it has to have a fresh strawberry!

I'll always remember evenings when we'd sit on her front porch swing and drink coffee or lemnonade after an afternoon of tole painting, her wonderful peanut brittle and those tasty briskets! 

So many sweet memories dear friend... Rest in Peace.  We love you & your sweet family, Frank and Dora.

Always loved Billie's gently smile and kind spirit. She was a talented pianist who always used her talent for God. She was always a joy to be around. I know her family will miss her greatly. Heaven gained another beautiful angel. Rest in peace, Billie. Give my Granny a hug until we meet again.

Billie was a beautiful person who loved Jesus and the children she taught at Houston's First Baptist Church.

We pray God will give you His comfort and peace as you rest in the assurance you will see her again.

My favorite memory of Billie is of her playing the piano at Gatewood Baptist Church and trying to make a singer out of me.  She was a beautiful person which is now singing and playing in that heavenly choir.  Please know with God's help you will find the courage to get through this.  Thinking of you all.

Hello to the Family.

I have not seen Billie in years.  However, I remember her from my younger days when my "second home" was the Vassar house.  She was, most always, on my side when Buddy and I were in trouble for something bad we had done.  It was never my fault as it was only Buddy's fault for each and ever circumstance -  I am sure of it.  However, Billie called me her "little boy friend" even when I was not always such a good boy.  I will hold that and many and other great memories in my heart.

To the great family that took such good care of me in my young days, I am so sorry for your loss.
