Bill received the Marine Sharpshooter Marksman Medal as he served our country during the Korean War. He settled in Houston, Texas, where he met and married Bettie Tapley. Together they shared 56 years and raised four children. After working for Shell Oil for 40 years as an accountant and auditor, Bill retired to Russellville, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, square dancing, and gardening during his 21 years there.
We remember Bill as a faithful man--a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and who lived out his love for Jesus through his roles of husband, father, and friend.
Bill is survived by his children, David and Debbie Glasscock, Pattie and Rick Skeen, John and Tracey Glasscock, and Sheri and Craig Seiter; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother Charles Glasscock; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, at 1:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale with burial to follow. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, at Forest Park Lawndale. The Glasscock family would like to extend their gratitude to family, Shadycrest Baptist Church, and many friends that have prayed for them and shown such love and concern. The caregivers of Home Helpers are also appreciated for their kindhearted care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shadycrest Baptist Church's Building Fund, located in Pearland, Texas.
